Ilsenburger Grobblech GmbH produces quarto plate for the most varied applications and uses. The company employs a workforce of 800 at its Ilsenburg and Salzgitter locations. Strategically situated in the center of Germany and Europe, the locations have a joint annual output of some 800,000 tons of plate in about 350 steel grades for customers around the globe. With about 200,000 tons of plate p.a. supplied to major renewable energy projects, the company already holds a strong position in this market segment. Deliveries to onshore and offshore wind energy projects include plate blanks for the production of monopiles, jacket structures, transition pieces and shell blanks for wind towers.
